Greetings Indietalk Forum,
While normally I do feed my ideas in my brain and let them fluorish alone, I'm caught in a rapture and must be fleet and quick. So hopefully the collaborating minds of this internet community can help me out.
I must create a film that is very short (2-7 min), it must not use more than 2 actors, and there must be a distinct theme/fable to it.
Here are the stipulations:
1) It must employ a maximum of 2 actors
2) There must be one distinct visual effect to propel the film
3) It should serve as a parable, a fable, an allegory of sorts
Please view the quick film below (it's less than 3 minutes long):

The film I linked above, "Black Hole", is an ideal example for my scenario because:
1) There is only one actor
2) A distinct visual effect holds prominence to the plot (the man's hand reaching through the void)
3) It ends with an effective lesson, to abstain from greed and the lust for money.
Here is the idea I've currently been working on, *though I'm on the verge of abandoning it)
A man is blessed with this strange power. When he looks at flat surfaces, he sees holographic projections that give him great knowledge.
One day, the boon of unbound knowledge engulfed him and led him to his doom. One can never know too much, ignorance is bliss as obliviousness is safety.
... I haven't decided what these projections could be. Maps, information, foresights,
The "central effect" to this idea would be 3D-camera tracking.
Below is a rough test I did when this idea was on the drawing board.
Pardon it's crudity, it was made in quite the hurry

What I ask of you:
Help me think of a basis for a short film that follows all the requirements stated above. It does not have to utilize the "excessive knowledge" I referenced before. It could be completely standalone.
Note: This is for a grade 12 school project, not Hollywood. One can afford to be lax as the payoff is a mark, not money.
If someone could tell me how to link videos in the forum, I'd greatly appreciate it. I can't seem to use the YT BBcode properly.
