On what is supposed to be a lazy weekend afternoon, both the "ding-dong ditcher" and the "ding-dong ditchee" get into a little trouble.
I just finished editing this little project from the summer. It's a project made for the purpose of testing out some new lenses (Nikon 50mm 1.4 and 28mm 2.8) and getting the camera in my hands (after taking a little break from shooting).
I wrote and shot listed in the shower, went to my roommates for ideas and acting. Audio was an issue, for awhile I wanted to take the failure in recording on set to learn on some foley work, but in the end liked going with a "silent" film sort of thing for the sake of pacing.
I graded it in Premiere with a few different effects, 3-way and with the Cineon Converter tool, because I wanted to see what I could do with that. I kind of like it, but still have yet to come to a full conclusion on the look. Since it was a test project from the start, I wanted to continue to experiment.
We shot that afternoon and then I set it aside for too long, now I've finished it and wanted to share.
By no means do I think it's particularly creative, but I greatly exceeded expectations for what I really wanted to do that day, and I think of that as the biggest positive.
