n00b. First movie coming out next summer.

Yeah, i'm new. And my first movie is coming out next Summer. We didn't have enough people to shoot it the first time.

If you live in or near Otley, IA, and are 16 or younger or a girl, please. Join us.

ONLY if you live near Otley. Or in.

Movie Name:
Shadow: The Movie

Based on an assassin who wants to protect his friends, and kill the leader of the village.

Yeah, I joined this bcause I might need help with the movie.

You know it's illegal to hire someone just because they are a girl?

You know it's not legal (in most states) to hire someone who's under the age of 16.

Lastly, if you intend on making a real feature film, I wouldn't get anyone 16 or younger, you're just asking for problems dealing with people younger than at least 18 years old.

You're joking, right? If my script calls for a 16 year old girl, I am sure not going to hire some guy in drag to play her.

Now I might hire an 18 year old who looks like a 16 year old to avoid the legal hassles. They did this with American Beauty. Showing real 16-year-old boobies would probably not go over too well.

EDIT: http://www.twc.state.tx.us/ui/lablaw/cllsum.html

Except as specifically authorized by the statute, it is illegal to employ a child under 14 years of age. One of the principal exemptions in the statute allows the Texas Workforce Commission (Commission) to adopt rules which authorize the employment of children under 14 years of age as performers in a motion picture or a theatrical, radio, or television production. Pursuant to that authority, the Commission has adopted Texas Commission Rules Section §817.31, §817.32 and §817.33 which set out the procedures for authorization of work by a child actor. These rules also contain provisions designed to ensure that employment does not interfere with a child's education and does not pose a threat to the child's health, safety, or general well-being.

This must be to what you are referring, and is understandable, but also understand that, as stated, there are exemptions for motion pictures (at least in Texas). You may want to quantify "most states".
