I just wrote a blog on using the RED camera on a shoot...

and all the troubles I had to overcome just to be able to START editing this weekend using Adobe CS4 and converting the footage to HD to edit.

Thanks for that report! Unless I get a real budget, I'm not going to worry about the RED, anytime soon.

Much of it was above and beyond what I know. Right now I cannot even download the hd on the computor - even with a card slot that is for it. I tried to download the software that came wtih the camera but the computor doesn't seem to read it.
I went online and (had doneso before I bought the camera so I knew what I was in for) read that this is the biggest issue.
So if you have any ideas to throw my way I would app. it....meanwhile the camera people and the hp people say any problems with downloading the software has to do with the software.

I knew this was going to be ONE of my biggest problems - to boot - I am so NOT computor saavvvyyy!

Good stuff. I'm definitely gonna check this out.

If I can't get in on an actual film shoot I'll certainly settle for reading about it as much as possible.
