Hi guys
I finished up my second music video, this time entirely in black and white. But I've a problem...........
When I edit in Sony Vegas everything looks perfect. Same goes for when I render - the .mp4 file looks perfect on my pc. But only on my pc. I'm running windows. On my friend's Macbook it is much darker to the extent that I have to change something in order to fix this.
I couldn't understand why the video was looking perfect on my pc and too dark on another pc, considering I've never experienced videos being too bright on my pc (as if my pc was simply brighter). I've a laptop as well to compare, and videos have pretty much the same brightness on my laptop as pc. Yet again - my video file is much darker when I watch it on my laptop. I also tried uploading it to YouTube and here it was once again much darker than when I watch the video in VLC Player on my pc.
I'm running canon t2i as DSLR, screen is Viseo223DX from Packard Bell.

Regarding the comparison, you might think that is just YouTube vs. the file itself, but YouTube is completely the same as if I watch it on other pcs. It's only in Sony Vegas and VLC on my own pc that the video looks right.
I would love to know what causes this problem. Some of you might say that I should simply just make the video brighter in order to fit order screens, and yes, that might be true, but I prefer to find another solution, since the brightness is perfect in the original (on my own screen), and if I have to make it brighter it is going to be noisy....
Thanks in advance!
