cinematography Music Video Setup question!

Well, I have that very nice concept for a music video, although I am not sure, wether it will work or not..

So I need your help, as I know, that many of you have more experience!

I am wondering, if I could use the setup I have down there!

I was planning on using some relatively high powered work lights, in the back, shining towards the camera!

Then, to light the dancers, I wanted to use 3 work lights (6, as they are two lights on one stand) and 3 soft box lights, for that little softness (I know, it might not do much, but it still helps).

For at the fog/smoke machines in the background, what produces think smoke, and doesn't spread that fast, so the dancers don't just vanish in the smoke?

What problems could I have? It would all be filmed on three 550D's/T2i's. There are a couple of more camera setups i will do, but this is the main one!

Thanks a lot!

Personally I think the smoke machines will diffuse it enough if they're proper ones. You're actually probably better off with dry ice for this one- I think I showed you a photo of my pathetic attempt to fill a room with smoke with just a fog machine.

But I would take plenty of diffuser with you and then just play it by ear when you're there with the smoke and the lights and the location all set up how you want them.
