music video format?

i've made music videos before, but never ones that were intended to be sent to television. now, i know this might be a matter of preference, but i thought i'd check on what the industry prefers in this case. music video, 16:9 or 4:3? does it matter? will tv stations ask for it in 4:3?

My opinion, its always better to film in widescreen format, because it can always be edited to meet the 4:3 standard. However, most tv stations and networks do accept 16:9 formats.
