First time indie documentary film maker here.
If I’ve obtained Master and Synch licenses from a music publisher and these licenses include the right to distribute through all media including DVD’s and internet, do I need to worry about ASCAP and royalties if I want to produce DVDs or distribute through online streaming/digital download services?
Or what if I want to do a public screening in my home town at a movie theater? Will the theater care if our film contains music registered with ASCAP?
