Movies with one actor and one location. Ideas/examples

I have an idea for a movie that only has one location and one actor/actress on screen. There will be phone call voiceovers and maybe television shows shown and talking to someone through the door but i wanna have 1 actor shown on screen and take place all in one location/scene.

No restrictions on crew size i'm not making this all by myself but i wanna know what are some good ideas of how to shoot this and ways to make one actor interesting. Also if anyone knows any movies that are kinda like this i would like to watch them to see how they make it work.

Some examples i can think of are "I am legend" "Buried" and "The Sunset Limited"

except not talking to the camera.

Lemme know if anybody has some ideas.

Both I am legend and Cast Away are about a person who is alone (most of the time), but they are not movies with only one actor and 1 location.

The Dutch indie feature 'Oogverblinded' (Dazzle) with Georgina Verbaan and (the voice of) Rutger Hauer takes place in 1 living room where a woman is talking to a stranger on the phone.
However: she looks through the window and sees other people too. There is no interaction with them, but it's not really 1 person only any more. And there's other footage as well.

It's a not a flawless or perfect movie, but it's intriguing.

Thanks Thats looks somwhat like what im trying to do.

Ive seen Cast Away before but thats not quite what i'm going for.
In my story the main character will not be alone all the time in his life but the only parts shown will be when he is alone at home(hope this makes sense).
 
You want a really good example?
Find : SLEUTH with Michael Cane. Only him and another person.
One of the best movie I liked.

Am also shooting with two actors only and may do a short with one.
 
"Brake" was good. A man trapped in the trunk of a car for the entire movie. But the plot still kept me guessing. In the same style as "Buried"
