We were recently made pretty happy when it was announced they are actually going to keep production of the new series Nashville in Nashville. Initially their plan (after it was picked up) was to move most of the production back to LA. Lots of work for my grip/gaffer friends and the guys who run the big grip rental house.

We get killed by Georgia and Louisiana because we have a very weak (and I think out of funding) incentive program.
 
What about Mumbai, Lagos, Shanghai?

American mainstream cinema is a big money making machine that churns out the same films every day, not because they're good, but because they're proven to make a profit, and everyone is convinced that they're the best thing ever.

Bollywood is already bigger than Hollywood, and the rest are catching up. Plus the cost of living is much lower.
