I'm right towards the end of my budget now, and faced with a bit of a dilemma. I have a production team willing to do a weekend shoot for expenses only, and supplying all the equipment they'll need except for lenses. They have a HVX200 with an adapter for Nikon lenses, but don't own any of their own lenses. I have access to some quality Canon lenses I can use for free, so I'm wondering if anyone has ever tried using a stepdown or swapping parts on this kind of setup? Obviously if I have to fork out and rent some Nikons I will, but if a fifty quid stepdown will do the trick just as well that would be a huge help. I hope it goes without saying that I'm not going to be concerned about losing autofocus.
The setup is a mini35 adaptor for 35mm Nikon SLR lenses, and I can borrow Cannon 35mm digi SLR lenses from a friend who is a photographer.
