editing Modern inter titles

So, I am in process of editing my silent feature film, but how about inter titles.

I would like to use modern style titles, but how to create modern ones. White text and black background is so old school so would be nice to think something new, specially the feature is color movie, not b&w.

Any ideas?

sub titles, rather than inter titles?

graphic emoticons rather than actual dialogue (like in the game the Sims)

But back to inter titles..

you could do inter titles as part of a bullet time slow mo effect...

You could incorporate the inter titles into the environment... you know like you see in commercials where the 3d text is motion tracked into the live footage..

Probably 3d black text on "infinite white" back ground would look cool.

Hi, since you mentioned pixels and another person mentioned blurry images, I captured one image from the material and edited that in gimp,

this was the result:

Similar style will be in inter-titles as well.
