Mobile Phone Cameras

So I have the galaxy S3 and film on it more than I film on my camera. How do you guys feel about the quality of mobile phone cameras? clearly I'm not producing high budget stuff here. But is it a proper medium for short youtube films?

Sure, why not?

It can even be used in other non-YT projects, if you feel like it. There are films showing up at filmfests that have been shot on camera phones. The type of camera used has little to do with how well-made a film is.

When you do come back to post your film, don't mention that you used your mobile phone for a camera.

I SERIOUSLY recommend you use a tripod. Seriously.

Yes, and there are even film festivals now which are exclusively for films shot on mobiles, so there is definitely an audience for them.
