Microphone for a beginner.

Hi

Im chasing some advice on microphones.
I have recently purchased a Canon 70D and am looking into buying a microphone.
I am looking to use it for more interview style set ups.

The best place to look and buy ?

Cheers

I agree. The Rode Videomic has been great for my Canon 60D and I think it will benefit you greatly especially if you're just starting out. It's easy to set up and good for filming on the go.
Keep up the good work Toby. You da best.

The RVM (Rode VideoMic) is a good choice, and you can probably find a used one in passable shape. If you have the extra funds get the Rode VMP (Video Mic Pro); it weighs a little less and has a hotter output.

Remember to turn off the AGC (Automatic Gain Control) on the camera.

Would this mic work with a Panasonic Full-HD HC-V210M?

Hi There,
I have a Panasonic Full-HD HC-V210M - would this mic plug into my camera (and work)? If not, would there be any cheap alternatives.
Thanks,
Cody
