I have some 4x4 glass Scneider and Tiffen filters which have thickness of 3.9mm and 4.2mm and I was looking for a cheap mattebox. Trusmt, Proaim (MB-900B, MB-600) and used Cavision are the brands I had been looking at. I asked Trusmt what the maximum filter thickness was and they said 3mm. I have asked Proaim also, waiting on an answer.
Does anyone know which cheap matte boxes will take these 4.2mm thick filters?
(Just saw that Cavision filters are 4mm thick and the matte box I saw on their website takes up to 4mm thick)
Does anyone have an MB-900B and want to tell me what you think of it? Are the lock knobs plastic or metal?
