Making JPegs in Final Cut Pro 6

I have some HDV footage that I need a still from to make a DVD cover.
I'm using Final Cut Pro. The quality of the JPegs from the footage are a bit fuzzy and not high res enough for the cover pic.
But the footage is very crisp.. Anyone no a better way to get a high res still in Final Cut Pro 6 ??
Thanks so much!

I use screen shots (command-Shift-4 lets you drag a region, so you can make the window 200% if you like and then take a screen shot of just the frame from corner to corner). They dump out to PNG and I'm pretty happy with the results. They are the things I post on here from FCP all the time.
