I've been trying to find a technique for making cheap fake radiation burns. I have a scene where i need to have someone badly burned and bruised on the face. Any suggestions? Thanks.
You’ll want to use black, yellow, blue and red. With a little
experimenting you can mix the right colors to do a really nice
burn look. Ben Nye makes several “EX Wheel’s” with the exact
colors you need - so less need to blend. Woockie makes full
appliances.
Apply tissue paper or cotton dipped in liquid latex for peeling
skin and blisters. Add some blood and Vaseline or efx gelatin.
