Organising Crew for my next Short Film...I have a guy who has offered to take on the role of DoP and Editor. He currently edits with 'MacBook Pro'....is this a good editing programme....as I';ve never used it?

Just means he edits on a laptop. Nothing wrong with that, I run Avid Media Composer on my laptop just fine. He probably uses FCPX or Adobe Premiere to edit.
