I've been seeing and hearing ads for a "retail liquidation" in my area, which claim that "thousands of items have been marked down to $5", including nonspecific "digital cameras", which of course I could use if they're high-quality. My entire family has the weekend off, and I was considering asking my dad to take me to wherever the heck this place is (I've google-mapped it; it's in some commercial plaza with Dick's Sporting Goods, Best Buy, etc), but I'm very skeptical-it sounds far too good to be true. The commercials never state what business is being liquidated, and from what I can tell it's been going on for several weeks... should I bother seeing if they have anything that would be of any use to a budding filmmaker? Have any of you had experiences with these types of things?
