Lipstick on shirt collar, how to not stain?

One of my characters has a red lipstick "kiss" on his shirt collar. I'd like to do this without staining my actors shirt. Anyone know how I could could create this without ruining a shirt? even if it's something that looks like lipstick

I don't really have an answer to your question, but is there some reason you can't just get another shirt? Of course you don't want to ruin your actors own shirt, so just buy one for him. Then you can do whatever you like to it!

Go to Goodwill - Or Savers, or pretty much any thrift shop. I can't imagine it'll be difficult to find a cheap white dress shirt for more than $5.

try put clear tape over the spot you want stained so when your done you can just remove it

Don't use real lipstick. Use a washable paint, like the type young children use for finger-painting.
