Life's Too Short

Not sure when you'll get this in the US, but HBO have picked it up.

This is Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchants new sitcom. It's a mockumentary that follows Warwick Davis (the dwarf from Harry Potter!) in his day-to-day life. The second episode has only just aired here, but I thought I'd just share how absolutely hilarious I thought it was.

So far we've had Liam Neeson and Jonny Depp both playing strange distorted versions of themselves. Neesons attempts at comedy are hilarious (and completely un-PC).

As soon as you get chance, check it out. This is exactly how comedy should be done!

What's it called?

Oh, and Warwick Davis is the dwarf from Willow. Or Return of the Jedi if you're really old-school. :P

Erm... Life's Too Short. Hence the title of the thread... :)

And yes, he's Willow, which nobody's ever heard of in this, and an Ewok, which everybody refers to as "a little bear thing".

Liam Neesons jokes are truly hilarious.

I really am a huge fan of both Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant, and although I've laughed while watching Life's too short (The Liam Neeson scene is hilarious) there were moments when I could see just so much of the pair of them in other scenes that they weren't involved in. It didn't feel natural at times. Where as their other sitcoms, The Office and Extras, always did.

They do have a style. It's perhaps the most natural behind The Royle Family but I just feel as though it's struggling on this occasion.
