Lens for Redrock

I own the Redrock 35mm adapter and I needed a lens for it. I found a "Canon FD 50mm 1:1.8 lens." Will this lens work? Ive tried attaching it but It either doesnt fit or im doing something wrong.

You could have a nikon mount. You will need a canon mount.

Canon has different mounts too. Not familiar with RedRock 35mm adapters, but i's probably a EF or EF-S mount if it is Canon. You'll need an adapter for FD.

it says it has a Minolta mount. So would I still need to buy canon adapter to use the fd 50mm lens, or would it be better to just get a minolta lens?

Yes. Or go to pawn shops and buy some minolta lenses. Adapters aren't usually the best way to go unless you REALLY like your FD lens.

great thanks. Think they would trade the canon for a minolta? Im not too experienced so I dont know about prices. I just want a lens so I can test the 35mm adapter
