Kung Fury was released on YouTube on the 28th of May and within 24 hours it received over 3 million views - it now has about 8,251,844 views. The film was crowdfunded via Kickstarter, receiving approx $600, 000 in donations. It is an action comedy love letter to pop culture of the 1980s from the music, to the movies, to the video games. It is an amazing movie with an excellent soundtrack provided by artists such as Mitch Murder and Lost Years, two groups who specialise in creating 80s style synth music. A music video featuring David Hasselhoff for the film, called True Survivor, has amassed over 10, 000, 000 views last time I checked.
