KERBEROS - my second feature film, (shot on a stock EX1 with many posts on this site- mostly about post productions) will make it's big screen debut next month at Indie Fest USA Film Fest in Disney (Anaheim, CA)
While still not finished with the sound, and will have little score in the mix at this screening, this will give us a chance to see the results of my post production and color correction on some of the biggest screens with the brightest projectors, and of course all THX certified sound systems.... (That might be scary!) I've got a kick-ass composer in the UK but he's coming a bit late to the party, and a fantastic sound engineer who's doing his best to advise and teach me long distance.
Good or bad - it will probably never be projected better! I know because my first film - BLOOD TIES - which was shot on the DVX - won the fest 2 years ago.
Pretty cool seeing a movie filling up a 55-60 foot screen from state of the art projectors. Even though I stare at pixels all day, I was stunned at how a DVD could be blown up so massively.... really changed my thinking on Hi-def and digital video in general.
More to come - as I scramble to make this sound like a movie! Got a kick ass composer in the UK but he's coming into the party a bit late, and a fantastic sound engineer who's basically trying to advise and teach me long distance!
Of course would love to meet and show what we've pulled off if anyone can can come. Think it will be obvious why it took me over a year to make this! And what the heck - it's Disney!

Gonna have some technical questions for some of this site's gurus on MPEG2 color shifts and H264 Hi-Def coming pretty soon!
