Is one month ok for a first draft?

I've noticed it takes me about a month to write a first draft of a script(just to lay it on " paper", not rewriting and changing anything). Is this ok or am I doing something wrong? This applies to every script I write...Thanks for reading!:)

Without knowing your process, and even with knowing it, this is kind of a silly question.

Is this from idea to finished first draft? If so, then a month is pretty good.

I'v got some ideas and stories in my head that have been fermenting for a decade.

Is this from actually starting to type the script after all the pre-work is done? If so, that's not bad. I usually get mine done in 5 working days but that's because I do a fair amount of boarding and pre-thought.

All that said, every single writer is different and there is no formula.

I'd be less concerned about the amount of time it takes you to write a script and more concerned with the quality of its contents.

Typically, I need about 6 weeks for the first draft, so a month seems pretty good to me.
The draft has all scenes in it, but mostly in very short and ugly brainstorm format.

Refining/rewriting then will need at least a dozen revisions. For a 100 pages/minutes script,
this could take at least 3 months, possibly shorter If I had the freedom and time to just focus on that
single script.

So for a feature this means 4 to 5 months. :-(
