Interesting conflicts?

How do you come up with interesting conflicts?

Personal experiences (maybe a but exaggerated)? Movie scenes?
Been trying to find a good one for the last several weeks for some short movie, but can't find one..

help? :-S

Look at news articles wearing your cynical hat, or mock the drama queen (male or female) at work or in the family, or be the parent or big brother that teaches an elementary school child a lesson.

What makes you say "H3ll, yeah! Told you so! Bunch dumb munkey muthers!"

Interesting Conflict... fun question..

Seems the most interesting to me are the choices between two evils.. When a good guy has to chose between bad and really bad, thats an interesting conflict.

My current script is inspired half from news and half from personal problems in my life (I would say exaggerated but some of my problems have been pretty crazy enough to just copy and paste.) I say a good mixture of both makes your movie real, but still have the ability to impact a wider audience.
