OK, so...firstly I'm actually not sure what a 'SAG Exhibition' film is...is that like SAG Signatory? I'm not sure what you mean...but if your film is a SAG picture, you shouldn't have to 'upgrade' if you're able to get in on the teli. Your distributor should take care of all that, am I correct in assuming that?

sorry if my using capital letters came across as angry. I was just looking at my contracts, the exhibition type (it no longer exists), but there seems to be an item regarding television. And, I was hoping someone out there could give me an answer before I go to SAG to deal with this subject. Thanks.

I've never heard of the "exhibition" contract. But many of
the earlier agreements where the SAG members weren't
paid do not allow any distribution until full payment (the
then current day rate) is paid. But since you've used an
agreement I have never heard of I may be off. Looks like
talking to SAG reps is going to be your best option.

detail? Info about your movie, when it was shot, how you
found distribution, that kind of thing?

I found that when my movie was lisited on IMDB I got many requests from distributors about having me send them a copy of the movie and trailer. In other words, I answered all the emails, saved their addresses and contacted them when I was ready.
The film has 20 famous guest stars, including 1 Oscar winner, 7 Oscar nominees, and 3 Golden Glove winners. Also, 3 of the newer actresses, went on to have regular roles on TV shows. And so, this generated attention for my independent black comedy set in a horror setting. It was shot over a 5 year span, but it's an anthology so we would finish each segment one year at a time.
