How's this for my first real short, I'm going to start?

I have a casting call add, ready to post all over and it will look this:

"It's a 10-15 minute dark revenge drama. You don't have to any previous acting experience, just be comfortable in front of a crew, and good at memorizing a short script.

The female lead. 25-35 years old. An evil conniving rapist, who knows how to use and abuse a man.

Female supporting. 25-40 years old. An average friendly woman who feels bad for what's gone wrong.

Male supporting. 40-60 years old. A prosecutor, who lets the law get in his way, but is willing to outside of it to get justice, just so long as it doesn't hurt him in the courtroom.

Two male supporting. 20-40 years old. Two hired thugs to carry out a dirty crime. Will be wearing masks pretty much the whole time, and most be reasonably strong bodied.

A Director of Photography, or at least someone who has had experience with a camera wanting to work on his craft. I already got the soundman for now, but no DP yet.

Since this is a micro-budget film there will not be financial compensation, but you will surely be dined throughout the shoot. It will be filmed locally, in Saskatoon, so need to worry about traveling very much. I am hoping to planning to start auditioning by late September, and shooting in mid-to-late October and maybe some of early November, depending.

Please respond with a photo. Resumes are fine, but are not mandatory. Thanks."

Does this look fine for the add or should I do it differently? Thanks. I will also be playing the male lead in it probably, so I didn't mention him in the cast, if that's okay.

I also have an add for another short, which I might post, depending on if the crew I got to work for free wants to. It would be much more difficult to shoot, and would require more locations, actors, sets, special effects, and complicated props, but it would give the crew more to practice their craft on, special effects wise, so I think they were hoping to do that one more. I don't know if I'm ready for that one yet though, and will wait to here what they say. I am willing to do that short, but don't know where I can guarantee get a rent on military props and uniforms yet.

I am really incredibly nervous and stressed about it, especially since a couple of people I've talked to in the business say I am nowhere ready, and will screw it up, creating a bad reputation. I have been practicing myself for months on learning how to shoot and record sound, but it's only me in front of the camera, and no one wants to practice with me, unless it's a real project. I have also taken advice from other newbies in my area learning themselves too. But since I've been told I am nowhere near ready, and tips would be appreciated for my first real short I plan on probably submitting. Thanks.

It looks good to me. Don't stress out too much. Be confident and your crew will follow you.

Do NOT say "um.. well I dunno what I'm doing, so let's play by ear".

They expect you to lead.

Others can't really tell you if you re ready or not. Do YOU think you re ready?
I go through the same experience everytime before the shoot. Especially a week prior the crazy day. My first couple of times I was so nervious that I was about to call the whole thing off in the morning.. but as soon as you enter the set (or room, or park or wherever you re shooting) or auditioning room, all the stress goes away, because your mind starts thinging about shots, dialogs, lighting, sound..

So no worry, enjoy the experience! That's why you want to try out the filmmaking, right? ;)

What I ve learned is that everybody who I ever worked with, came to help me out with the movie because it sounded like fun. And you re the one who initiated this project and you re the one who will set the tone, so just relax, have fun.
Going for a few drinks with cast and crew is definitely big help, because everybody gets to know eachother, and the shoot will go a bit smoother.

Anyways, I'm just rumbling away. Hope it helps haha

Okay thanks. I am wondering which short I should do, since the crew was more expecting one, but then I said I might wanna do the other one, at the minute, since the one we had in mind may be too high tech for my first real one. Even though I don't feel ready, I have been able to fake the confidence and fool them into thinking I am, or at least it seems so far.
