How to find a team/ people to work with?

Hey guys! I've been practicing short films/editing and everything to with films on my own for the past year. And I absolutely love it! I hope to be a director in Bollywood as that is my ultimate goal. I have a few connections in there that could possibly get me in. I have a great idea for a film. Which will be shot in India for the most part. I plan on getting everything together and start shooting by the end of the year.. The idea is for a full movie. I'm worried as a beginner I might be setting myself up for a failure? As I have only done videos/skits/shorts all by myself. I don't have any team or anything and only one friend who is really interested because she is a video editor.

What I do have is connections in bollywood. My main actor in the movie is the granddaughter(main source of connections) of a famous indian (who bollywood is making a movie on).

I think with this movie (which I think is great idea and will really work) I'll have more chance of getting in. At least to do intern or get work with someone within bollywood.

I'm pursuing the director field. I can get a decent budget. How many people in a team would I need to shoot a full movie? Is this a hard task for a beginner? I'm currently working on the script. I have over 10 year experience in photoshop for posters and graphics. I'm also familiar with the music field to provide decent soundtrack.

What do you guys think I should do? Would love some feedback/suggestions.

What kind of film is it? That will determine what type of crew you need. It is also determined by your budget.

"Decent" doesn't mean anything. What may seem decent to you may be a joke to one person, and a fortune to someone else.

Doesn't mean a thing 98.76% of the time. I've worked with famous siblings, children of, etc. There are no guarantees of talent or "famous" participation. I mean, after all, she could be one of 14 grandkids, and the least favorite, or even despised.

I have started on it. It should be done in few weeks. I don't plan on shooting until fall time so i'll have enough time to edit and stuff.

Something along the lines of I am legend. Where it is based around an actor and a dog for most of the movie and their adventure in a new place. Instead theres no zombies and planet is not extinct.

She is the first grandchild and the closest. Also her mom is the oldest child of the grandfather if that makes any difference? Lol She's the closest to the family as she was the first grandchild. I'm 100% sure they would definitely help out, if the movie turns out good.

Every one fails no matter what creative field you are doing at least once. fuck man, you have waaaaaayy more experience then me and I am in production of making my first feature. I have very little experience shooting, and 0 with audio, and when it comes to editing HA noob central. but I'm learning as I go and so far I am happy with my self.

Just do it, fuck it man you can make a feature, you say you don't have a team then Craig's list it. I met a good amount of my cast of the list, behind the scenes it's just me and my friend. Wish you the best man. keep it up.

The main point to raise interest is to be professional. If you are not pro then at least pretend you are :d

It actually goes to all the levels of making the movie. If you look for actors and do not define: character names, age range that the actor could be, synopsis for the movie etc. then most likely there are not many people interested. I cannot see this would be different no matter where do you live in the world.

At least in my project I kind of sell the movie twice. First by using a synopsis of the movie and then later on the actual script. And since now we are in the script part, well you cannot base a movie, specially a feature under one idea. It has to have something more, something in the background, what kind of things motivate the characters, why characters do what they do etc. Specially when you write a feature writing the script is serious amout of work.
