rebellian studios Apr 5, 2009 #1 I'm looking into buying a camera jib and i was wondering how much is it to buy a good one for a indie filmmaker. The most i'm willing to spend on on is $1,500. Any suggestions would be great. thanks.

directorik IndieTalk's Resident Guru indiePRO Apr 5, 2009 #2 Several companies make a jib arm that set on a standard tripod. Check out markertek.com - the Steady Tracker and Cobra Crane runs about $300, Glidecam has one for a little over $500 Cartoni makes a really nice one but it's out of your price range. Couldn't hurt to take a look at it, though. Check out ezfx.com - I've used theirs and it's pretty solid. There is a nice selection at imagewest.tv
