Hot weather and gear

Gotta love where I live when it comes to the temperature -0 in the winter and up to the 100's in the summer.

WHere I live, currently it is like walking inside of the devils humid gooch. I have been a bit concerned with my equipment when it comes to filming outside when the temperatures are in the 90s-100s (talking Fahrenheit here)
Weather it be dry heat or humid heat it still concerns me.

On the B&H Website it says my camera has a operating temp at about
"23 - 113°F (-5 - 45°C) 60% Relative Humidity
32 - 104°F (0 - 40°C) 85% Relative Humidity

I could not find any specifications like this for my recorder (PMD 661) or my MIC (NTG2)

What is the risk of using gear in hot weather like this any tips or horror stories?
