Hooking Up Sony Vegas for HD

This should help the Vegas users of IndieTalk.

Besides needing to add a HD avi plug-in for both Windows and Sony Vegas Pro and Home Studio to work with HD avi such as DVFilm's Raylight Plug-in, you need to click on New, then Properties, Format, and select a HD avi file on your hard drive for Vegas to read in the properties, and save as new default settings. This way, all of your media will convert to HD 16:9 ratio when you open it for your project inside of Vegas from Media to solid color backgrounds.

Otherwise, you have to constantly convert every media file to a 16:9 ratio that will initiall open as a 4:3 NTSC standard ratio video.
