Has anyone used hitfilm. I've heard some good things, but I'm curious how it stacks up.

I was looking at it as well. Someone told me it's great but I think I'll just stick to After Effects. It's meant to have a great editing system though.

I'm wondering about Hitfilm too. Is it a good alternative to AE, like a poor man's AE?

$400 (Hitfilm Ultimate) versus $900 for AE.

you can get CS5.5 production premium education discount for that price. ITS VERY EASY and ETHICAL to qualify. I bought my CS5.5 for my high school age kids to do photoshop for school. No problem if I use it for commercial work, I asked that DIRECT question.
