High School Student who likes films

Hello, my is Seth and I am from Iowa. The past year or so, I have had a growing interest making movies. I am a bit more interested in the technical aspects like visual effects, but i have a few ideas that I think are interesting.

I have a close friend who is really into movies,(I mean REALLY into movies). He isn't very tech savy, and I think it is holding him back. He managed to convince me into helping him make a film he is writing. It's supposed to be noir syle or something. It has actually been kinda fun. We just started planning and we are still talking over the basics and throwing around ideas. He is doing the bulk of the scripting and I am just giving feedback . Plus, I will do the more technical stuff like editing.

So yeah, it nice to be here.
