Hi there

Hey everyone,
I'm Daniel (18) from Hungary. I've been looking for a forum or site that is similar to my filmmaking interests, and it seems just like it. Let me introduce my self shortly. Filming became my hobby 6-7 years ago and I made about 80 videos ever since. It was very hard to get a good camera because my family is low on money but I managed to buy a Canon 600D. It's a DSLR, not a camcorder, I know, but we could afford this only and this is a fantastic camera as well.
My plan is to study in Glasgow, Scotland in the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland where is a course called Digital Film & Television.
I would like to improve my English just like my skills in videomaking/-editing, and hope you guys can help me in this. It's pretty much everything, my videos can be found on Youtube (kermelin999). Unfortunately, on my channel almost everything is written in hungarian but I'm gonna work on that. :D

Feel free to ask me anything. :)

Hello Daniel, welcome to IndieTalk!

Don't worry about gear and money. If you're talented at filmmaking, you can make something great with very little. You don't need expensive filmmaking toys.

"It's not the paints that make the picture great, but the painter himself".

Checked out your Youtube channel. You have some great stuff.

Hope you stick around here :)

'sup & hello! :)

600D is not too shabby at all. I've got a 550D that still sees some decent action. You can do a lot, with those Canons.

Man, that's a great start you're off to, with 80 vids already - you'll do well, at college

Thanks, it will be tough to go abroad if they accept my application and I hope it will matter that I've made videos already. However, we learn more in life from experiences than in school I guess .
