I'm looking for feedback on how to get consistent results in filmmaking.

Work on a lot of films. Practice makes perfect. Don't be selfish, work on projects other than your own. Build your network. Build you stack of favors. Build your reputation.

Prepare everything down to the last detail before you begin shooting. Have multiple back-up/contingency plans for potential problems.

Know exactly what you want to accomplish, and communicate it to you team clearly and concisely.

Listen to your department heads.

Preproduction, Preproduction, PREPREODUCTION!

And please, get the sound right......
