It really depends where you are based. I live in the UK and used EBU European Broadcast Union and the BBC to find the right HD cameras to purchase. My understanding could be wrong is that the BBC is the only organisation that has testing facilities for their acquisitions. Alan Roberts was their expert but I believe he has retired now. I am an independent filmmaker.
