Hello from Boston

Hello, everyone!

I just finished my first feature length screenplay and am looking to turn it into a film to put on the film festival circuit. I found this site and saw it had a ton of useful information, since I don't know much about indie film making. :)
 
that1guyyI do not go to BU. I did go to college in Boston, but I graduated back in 2007 and I went for architectural engineering, and I work a day job as an architectural designer.

Zensteve, my screenplay is about something very personal to me. It's about a teenager suffering from an eating disorder and how it affects not only her but her family. I am currently recovering form an ED, so it's something I'm very very passionate about. I really want to make it into a film, which is why I'm here, because I don't know much about the whole process.
 
Welcome! I've recently begun browsing and posting here more often and I've found it to be a very useful forum. I'm a student filmmaker myself and I'm still learning the process. There's so much to learn but I enjoy it all. Congrats on finishing the script. I'm sure if you have specific questions about any process in filmmaking, you will get great advice on here. From what I hear, Boston is a great city to be making movies in, so you should have no trouble finding people to work with.
