For my "Leading Lady" artwork, I'd like to use rows of headshots. If I e-mailed actresses that submitted headshots, and they said Yes I could use it. Would that be enough to cover me, if after it's done they changed their mind?
The actor does not necessarily own the rights to the headshots, fyi.
The actual photographer could hold the rights to the image. Normally not an issue, when actor is using it for intended purpose (and has express permission for that purpose), but you could be using copywritten material.
