color-grading Have I gone too far with colour grading?

Do you think I may have gone too far with colour grading?

The camera that I used to film this was quite cheap, so the original colours looked terrible.

I wanted the film to have a dark feel, so I colour corrected it with a lot of contrast. I also tried to make the shots from the 18th century very dark and low saturated, to make it more clear to the viewer that it is a flash back.

However I'm slightly concerned that I may have gone too far with it. Feedback please?

Harry,

Not sure whether this will be of any help to you or not. I am in no way qualified to pass any remarks at all on the technical aspects. All I can tell you is that from a non-technical viewer's point of view I had no problem at all with the colour and, in fact, found the whole thing visually very exciting. I think it's altogether a lovely piece - well done!
