watch Hack Assassin

Hey this is a short called Hack Assassin that me and my friend made not too long ago. As the director of photography id really appreciate any feed back you can give me on my camera work. Aside from that the video is entertaining as well!

Hey there Jack. Looks like you messed up the embedded video feature. Click the quote button at the bottom of this post to see how to do it correctly.

Not bad! It's good, although a bit dark in parts, there's some occasional shakiness, slightly out of focus shots, and some shots lacked or had too much headroom. But there were some nice shots and it overall was well done.

Hey thanks for the feedback! I pushed the quote but I didnt see anything different. Could it be because I'm on the IPad?

Yea I know I screwed up the focus on 3 shots forsure, I was really disappointed when I noticed in post. Thanks for the feedback though ill keep it in mind for our next project

Lotta flat dark shots messing up a lot of really nice images.

What are you using to stabilize your "handheld" shots? You're doing good avoiding the dreaded shaky cam.

As you've asked about feedback on camerawork - purely on the camera work, I'd suggest using lights. The basics are:

1. Can I see what's going on?
2. If I can see, can I see clearly enough?
3. Does it look nice?

I think that you need to sort out '2' before getting to 3 and lights will be your friend.

What kind of camera did you shoot on? I have some parkade shots planned for a film of mine, but I think I'm going to struggle with the 7D. Your shots look pretty clean in the noise department.

Thanks
