An officemate and I have decided to put effort back into filmmaking. I have even investing some money in an upgraded camera for video. Our first shoots on my older camera were quite lacking in quality, but it still inspired me to keep going.
I'm a film school dropout, and got my BA in Psychology instead in Austin, TX. Sadly, Steve Mim's film school was not up and running when I was in college, but did start offering affordable classes to film students. I foolishly languished in state college where massive student bodies overwhelmed tiny film departments. So, after dabbling around in volunteering and hating it, I gave it a rest.
So now I'm returning!
Video is so cheap now and software is also affordable for editing. There's just no more excuses left.
