I'm stepping forward to shamelessly brag about my film, Shooters. Get the Picture. i just learned we're a quarterfinalist in the More Magazine Short Films by Women contest. We just were awarded Best Screenplay at The Trinity Film Festival in Detroit last weekend and we won the Audience Award at the 07 Planet Ant Film festival.
The actors in Shooters, Mike McCallum and Wallace Bridges, are such dedicated pro's, our editor, Jon Worful (Vernacular Films) works his butt off on all kinds of film projects, our sound guy, Doug Schiete (Remi Sound) was so detailed and precise, he deserves an award all to himself. And our composor, Jeff Arwady, is amazing - and looking for more work - he's got a master's degree in music composition, working toward a doctorate - and he wants to compose film scores for a living. The Shooters DP, A.E. Griffin, shoots films in his sleep, and you couldn't meet a friendlier guy who consistently goes out of his way to help whenever anyone calls.
