Got a problem with waveforms in Premiere Pro.

I have an audio take to edit but it doesn't show any waveforms in Premiere Pro. I tried closing the program, opening, and re-importing the take, but the same thing, no waveforms, just a flat line. The audio is there and I can hear it, so why can it not read it?

It is most likely buffering. If there are a lot of clips, it may take a while. There is a bar to show progress in the lower right corner of the timeline.

try sequence -> render audio

You will need to do this if your audio is in a nested sequence...

Also, just in case, you need to hit the little arrow on the track to expand the wave form (sorry if that to obvious) and finally, increase the vertical size of the track in the timeline.. if its recorded low (high quality audio with lots of open overhead) the wave form may be too low to be seen at the lower scale height.
