Hey guys I have bee racking my Bran on trying to figure out how people on youtube use a Garden sprayer for a gun shot affect. I mean I get it. they put fake blood in a garden sprayer and have a hose attracted to an actor with a hole in the tube that makes the blood squirt out. What I am confused is how they get the blood to shoot out. I know they pump the sprayer but is there a valve or something? does anyone have a video somewhere where it shows you step by step. It seems every one I have seen has left out that one crucial part. "how to get the blood to spray out"

You gotta delete all the gibberish from the "=" sign forward to make the youtube vids show. 
I used this method for years. Assuming you are using a garden sprayer like this:
....you can see the little handle at the end of the wand. That's is what you will
squeeze to make the blood come out. Of course in the picture below the nozzle
is set up to do a fine spray. You will want to try different nozzles to simulate a
shot.
I use a fillable water fire extinguisher
...it allows more air power. You can attach tubing
...to extent the reach of the blood - hiding it under clothes or even a makeup appliance.
You simply press down on the handles to get the blood to spray out.
