gangster film ideas.... ?

I want to write some gangster film, but I am not really into mafia shooting drugs stuff but still want to give it a shot

I have an idea about a guy who wants to quit Mafia... but dont really know much about how mafias work (in films at least)

so question to gangster films fanatics

can you please recommend me a Mafia/gangster film about a guy who wants to leave mafia?

sounds like you need to do a little research. I'm making a spaghetti western currently and have been studying them for the past 2 months. The clothing, dialect, lighting, angles, cutting, it's tedious work man. But if you're passionate enough about what you're doing it feels more like fun than anything. Making the film is the easy part. It's the preparation that takes it to the next level.

But to answer your question a film I'd suggest is GoodFellas (obviously) ummm...Carlito's Way is where he comes back from being in a gang but has quit the lifestyle, umm that's all i can think of lol
