Are you guaranteeing transfer of ownership through Apple?

that would have been my next question. If your ex roommate still has it installed and registered, they have to authorize the transfer of software title and remove the software from their hardware.

I'd love to by it, but I intend to make money using it, and that could potentially give ownership of anything I produce using their software to apple, inc. If you can contact your roommate and get permission from them to sell, you can do so and probably ask for more.
