Final Cut Studio / Pro

While I have no problems importing the video to Final Cut Pro 4.5, the audio isn't importing. So, I am looking to upgrade.

Supposedly you can nolonger upgrade 4.5 to 5 or 6 through Apple.

What is Studio 2? What does Pro have that Studio doesn't?

Studio is a suite of software including Final Cut Pro plus Motion, Soundtrack Pro, DVD Studio Pro, Compressor, Cinema Tools and Color.

True. With FCP5 Apple created Studio in 2005 they bundled a
"studio" of post production. So FCP5 was not a simple upgrade,
it was an entirely different product.

What is Studio 2? What does Pro have that Studio doesn't?

I got the .wav sound from my DP and was able to easily sync sound to video on FCP 4.5. Then it wouldn't play. It kept saying Dropped Frames.

So, I've taken the plunge and bought Studio 2 from a guy in New Zealand. Supposedly this is a version that if I want to upgrade to 7, I'll get it at the upgrade price.

We shot on the streets of NY this past Sunday. It was EASY to get mom and pop places to let us take a shot or two indoors. It was fun.
