I'm currently using FCP 4 and I'm considering upgrading to FCP HD. Just curious if anyone else has done this yet and did you like the upgrade or not.
I like what I've read about it so far, but I'm always carefull when it comes to upgrading software.
 
It's a free upgrade for FCP 4 Users is what read, It has alot of other upgrades other then the HD capabilities. I'm curious to see if any has upgraded and found cliches or problems with it yet.
 
Since it's a free upgrade it can't hurt you to download it.

I did.

It helps with down conversion and organising your EDL for HD editing. But so far, I haven't been editing HD. They way I understand it - in order to edit true HD you need 10,000RPM drives.
 
So Downloading it hasn't affected any of your exsisting work. My main concern would be downloading it screwing up some of the projects I've been working on.
