Dont expect your first movie to be amazing, hey dont really focus too much on anything, just make a movie, get a 'control' and explore all the tehniques and art along the way. someone always says somethin about... its the journey that counts or somethin.. not the destination.
Find new friends. 
Ok, don't ditch your old friends, but if they're not interested in helping you, you need for find friends who will help you. Use boards like this, Craigslist, check into local filmmaking groups (if any), if you have local public access you can find people.
Find a band that needs a music video and they weave a story line into the video and use the band as your cast.
No cast available: Make a movie about a psycho killer who wants to kill his twin and you can play all the parts. How about a sci-fi film where a man is visited by his future self and again, you play both parts.
